Hectic in Hongkong

How was your Valentine’s Day? I have spent Valentine’s Day with the same person for the last 8 years and I have received flowers every year (although always a day late, I appreciate the effort) with no fail. Niko, naturally being the hopeless UN-romantic that he is, I wasn’t expecting anything anymore but a dinner date at Radisson Blu with his family. Dinner was great but the subject of discussion was what I dreaded (They were all planning their trip to Hongkong which they got on Piso Fair; can you imagine P2,500 for a round trip ticket?!) I was dying of jealousy! All of them kept saying, “Too bad you’re the only one who can’t come, Les”. As the night ended, I have accepted the fact that I will be missing out on a great family trip. Niko brought me home, walked me to the door and kissed me goodbye… to my surprise he handed me a heart-cut shaped piece of paper with the sweetest note that brought me to tears…


It was the sweetest thing! He’s not big with surprises but this one was just adorable. This beats flowers any day!
